Wine Aerator

Wine Aerator: A wine aerator is a small, in-bottle, hand-held pour-through or decanter top device for aerating wine. A wine aerator device mixes air into the wine as it flows through or over it, which increases exposure to oxygen, causing aeration.

Wine aerators are best if used with young red wines, specifically those high in tannin, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Zinfandel, Bordeaux and many wines from the Rhône Valley. These wines actually taste better with aeration because their tannins soften and the wine becomes less harsh.
